When I started reading about green beauty and using green beauty products, my first goal was to change my skincare and haircare products to all-natural ones. Since I find makeup quite challenging and therefore, don't wear much of it, I decided that it was a step that could come later on. Besides, I needed a clear complexion before I could start playing with colors.
Recently, I realized that I have been using an all-natural array of products for a while now. While I did like my former products and seemed to have an affinity for the Garnier Fructis line, reading about the dangers posed by their ingredients - namely sodium laureth/lauryl sulfate, parabens, ethoxylated compounds (those containing "eth" in their name) and many others - made me change my mind. Therefore, I switched to affordable eco-friendly choices from Burt's Bees and Best Bath Store (that I have talked about here) and, not surprisingly, I'm much happier with the results.
well shoot. now i want to go natural on that. my face cleaning regimen is all natural...the oil cleansing method.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of this post. My boyfriend has been going all natural and I'm a little frustrated when he keeps "suggesting" I stop using all of those chemicals. I might have to give it a whirl!

I think it's wonderful that you are choosing more all natural products for your skincare needs. Make sure you're reading your labels, I discontinued using Burt's Bees because they use lanolin. Not good stuff. Cute blog! :)
