When I found out that the J. Crew catalogue was no longer available online, I was pretty sad - after all, it was one of my main sources of inspiration. Instead of spending too much time mourning this loss though, I decided to turn my attention to another, just as stunning, resource: the Ruche lookbooks! They have such a distinct yet relatable sense of aesthetic, that it's no wonder they have become so popular. Over the summer, three of them were published and, like many other fashion enthusiasts out there, I loved every single one immensely.

1. Hessnatur Organic Cotton Henley, $45
2. Loomstate Tahiti Short in Rocky Beach,
So, to cap off the summer I wanted to recreate one of my favourite outfits from all three lookbooks - one that is vey simple but feels quintessentially summery. I have to say that if there ever was an outfit with my name on it, I doubt that it would be much different from this one: lots of white along with stripes that incorporate a bright, cheerful colour - these are some of my favourite things!! Besides, I think that with a pair of tights and some clever layering skills, this outfit could easily be transitioned into the fall months.
PS: I'm enjoying the Ruche website more and more every time I visit. Apart from the stunning lookbooks, they also have an eco-friendly shopping section too!! How exciting!
