Recharged

This past month has been completely different from what I'm used to, and incredibly so. Having lived in the city my whole life, I was very happy to spend some time with family members who live in the countryside. During the whole month, I barely touched a computer and closed my cellphone. Surprisingly enough, not only did I survive, but I thrived. There wasn't a moment when I felt bored and couldn't find something to do. Whether it was taking riding or swimming lessons with some great teachers, cooking with my cousin-in-law, running around town, or working on my very first quilt, there wasn't ever a dull moment.

I realized that little things matter and I think this is what living a greener lifestyle is all about. We have to step away from our fast paced, well-connected lives, even if just for a few minutes, and go back to basics: take the time to see and hear nature and learn to appreciate everything around us.
